Our view of the service
Date of assessment 20 June 2026 to 4 July 2026.
The service provides personal care support to older people, people with dementia, and people with physical disabilities. The service was supporting 12 people with a regulated activity at the time of the inspection.
There were systems in place to safeguard people from abuse. There were enough staff who had sufficient travel time between visits. People had care plans which had clear information about people’s daily routines. People’s needs were thoroughly assessed before they began receiving support, and staff told us they had enough information about people before supporting them. Staff received a range of training and spoke positively about the support they received from leaders.
The service was well led. There was an open-door policy for staff to raise concerns at any time. Leaders promoted equality, diversity and inclusion. Leaders engaged well with healthcare professionals.
However, medicine related documents were not always in place or of good quality. Care plans did not always contain clear information about risks people faced and how to mitigate these, and some lacked information relating to people’s health conditions and how these affected people. People did not have information in their care plans about their end of life wishes.
People's experience of this service
We spoke with 2 people receiving care from the service and 1 relative. People were happy with the service. Comments included, “I’m very happy. I like all the staff” and “They always help you out when you need it.”
People told us staff generally arrived on time and stayed for the full duration. They said staff delivered care in line with their needs and preferences. People knew how to complain and found it easy to contact someone in the office.
People spoke positively about the manager of the service.
