Our view of the service

Choices Care Limited is a care agency providing personal care to people in their own home. The service is registered to provide support to older people, younger people, people living with dementia, learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health issues and/or sensory impairment. At the time of the assessment the service was supporting 12 people.

The inspection included 1 announced visit, conducted with short notice, which took place on 27 April 2026.

We assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed autistic people and people with a learning disability respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted.

At the time of the assessment, the service was not supporting any autistic people or people with a learning disability, but the provider had regard to ‘Right support, right care, right culture’.

People were supported by a consistent group of staff who had been safely recruited. Staff were provided with an induction and training which provided them with the skills and knowledge to support people safely and effectively in the way they wished.

Staff knew people well and were kept informed of any changes in their care needs and how they wished to be supported.

The registered manager and management team were accessible to people and staff alike. There were a variety of checks in place to continually assess the quality of the service and feedback was routinely sought from people regarding the care they received, in order to drive improvement.

People and staff all considered the service to be well run and would recommend it to others.

People's experience of this service

The feedback we received from people and their loved ones regarding the service was overwhelmingly positive. People were treated with dignity and respect by a consistent group of staff who knew them well.

People told us staff were kind, courteous, and made them feel safe. They said calls were delivered on time and that staff responded well to their needs. Where people’s first language was not English, arrangements were in place to ensure they were supported by carers who spoke their language.

People were supported to manage any health and wellbeing concerns they may have and their views of the service and the care and support they received were regularly sought.
