Our view of the service
Dates of assessment: 15 to 19 May 2026
Hillingdon, known as London Quality Care Services Ltd, is a care agency providing personal care to people living in their own homes.
The last rating for this service was good (published 3 January 2020). The rating has remained good.
People received safe care. The provider assessed risks and worked with people and their families to help make sure these risks were managed. People received their medicines safely and as prescribed.
There were enough suitable staff to meet people’s needs and keep them safe. Staff had the training and information they needed. Staff felt supported.
The provider assessed people’s needs and worked with them to plan care. They monitored people’s health and wellbeing. Staff worked with other professionals to make sure people received the support they needed. The agency provided a range of information to help people understand about their care. The provider obtained people’s consent and offered choices.
Staff were kind and supportive. They provided personalised care which met people’s needs and preferences. People were supported to be independent when this was their choice, and it was safe for them.
There were effective systems for monitoring and improving quality at the service. The provider learnt from complaints, accidents and incidents. The provider listened to people and asked for their feedback.
We assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed autistic people and people with a learning disability respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. We found the provider was meeting these principles. For example, they found ways to ensure people could communicate their needs and make informed choices. People were supported to develop their skills and independence. Staff advocated for people and supported them to access other services. The provider worked with people and their relatives to develop personalised communication aids.
People's experience of this service
People had a good experience using the service. They were happy with the care they received. People were cared for by the same regular staff, who they liked and felt safe with. People explained they could make choices and staff respected these. People felt staff were well trained. Staff were polite and respectful.
People felt involved in their care. They explained they had opportunities to speak with managers to discuss their care. They found the agency was responsive when they requested a change.
People told us staff arrived on time and were not rushed. People were asked for their views and were able to make choices.
Comments from people using the service included, “I highly recommend London Quality Care Services to anyone”, “They are a nice agency, very helpful and very nice carers. I feel happy with them” and “I am happy with the carers, and they are a very good organisation.”
