Kindness, compassion and dignity

Regulations met

Staff treated patients with kindness, respect and compassion. We observed positive interactions between staff and patients both in person and on the telephone. Staff displayed an understanding of patients’ needs and showed warmth and compassion to patients.

Comments included, “Both my sons have had orthodontic treatment at [the practice], covering a period of over 6 years. I have been extremely happy with the service we received throughout this whole time. All staff members have always been professional, friendly and very informative. The final results for both of my sons' teeth were perfect following their treatment. I would highly recommend New Smile.”

Patient feedback provided a wholly positive view of the orthodontic team and care provided by the practice. Patient comments included that staff were welcoming and attentive, acted with integrity and showed compassion.

Patients said staff were professional, courteous, and considerate.

Patients felt they were treated as individuals, and their personal and cultural needs were respected.

We reviewed the feedback from the recent practice patient survey which was wholly positive. Patient online comments and feedback we reviewed provided a wholly positive level of satisfaction with the care and treatment received at the practice.

People received care from staff who were aware of their responsibility to respect people’s diversity and human rights, and of the importance of privacy and confidentiality.

Staff felt respected and supported in their roles.
