Our view of the service

Date of inspection: 16 September 2026 to 23 September 2026.

Global Caring Group Leicester is a domiciliary care agency that provides care and support to people living in their own homes. This includes people with a range of needs, older people, younger adults, dementia and physical disabilities. Not everyone using the service received personal care. CQC only inspects services where people receive personal care. This is help with tasks relating to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided. At the time of our inspection, 51 people were receiving the regulated activity.

This was the first inspection of the service.

Care was delivered in a person-centred manner and reflected people’s needs, preferences, routines and desired outcomes. Guidance for staff about people’s care needs were detailed and up to date. This included how known risks were managed and mitigated. People were involved in their care planning, and regular reviews were completed to ensure care and support remained reflective of people’s needs.

The provider had safe and effective systems that assessed, monitored and managed accidents, incidents and safeguarding events. Lessons were learnt and shared with staff where improvements had been identified.

At the time of the inspection, there were sufficient staff to meet people’s needs and contingency plans were in place should this change. The provider had safe recruitment procedures in place to ensure staff were suitable to work with vulnerable people. Staff received a structured induction, probation, ongoing training and support. Staff competencies and spot checks were completed to ensure staff were suitably trained and knowledgeable to provide safe care.

Where people received support with their prescribed medicines, this was provided safely and followed best practice guidance.

People received care and support from familiar staff who knew them well and provided consistent care. Staff had detailed guidance about people’s known health conditions and were responsive and supportive when people’s health needs changed.

The provider had effective governance systems and processes that continually assessed, planned, reviewed and monitored quality and safety. Senior managers had continuous oversight of the service and completed additional checks and audits. The provider had worked with the local authority in developing and improving the service.
