Our view of the service
Date of Assessment: 2 December 2025 Practice Plus Group - NHS 111 Devon is contracted to provide an NHS 111 service across the whole county of Devon. This area has approximately 1.2 million people who live in the area and the number of people who use the service increases to approximately 2 million during the tourist season.
This is the first inspection under our single assessment framework. We assessed all quality statements across safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led key questions.
This assessment considered the demographics of the people using the service, the context the service was working within and how this impacted service delivery. Where relevant, further commentary is provided in the quality statements section of this report.
People's experience of this service
People were positive about the quality of their care and treatment. Feedback from surveys, compliments, and case studies demonstrated that individuals felt listened to, respected, and involved in decisions about their care. Recent results from the NHS Friends and Family Test, showed people were satisfied with services.
