Kindness, compassion and dignity

Regulations met

Staff treated patients with kindness, respect and compassion. We observed positive interactions between staff and patients both in person and on the telephone. Staff displayed an understanding of patients’ needs and showed warmth and compassion to patients.

We spoke with 1 patient. The patient told us that they were very happy with the service provided.

We reviewed patient questionnaires, which were collected by the practice. Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice. Patient comments included “I would highly recommend this practice.” Another patient said, “A very friendly environment. Friendly, reciprocal and professional staff.”

Patient comments included that staff were welcoming and attentive, acted with integrity, and showed compassion. One patient said, “[The principal dentist] and his team are caring and professional. I have been a patient for about 5 years and have always received excellent treatment. Injections are done very gently, and they have the capacity to complete complex treatments on site so fewer visits are necessary. Excellent!"

Patients said staff were professional, courteous, and considerate.

Patients felt they were treated as individuals, and their personal and cultural needs were respected.

People received care from staff who were aware of their responsibility to respect people’s diversity and human rights, and of the importance of privacy and confidentiality.
