Our view of the service
Date of Assessment: 19 June 2025 to 24 June 2025.
Baddeley Green Surgery is a GP practice and delivers service to 5771 patients under a contract held with NHS England. Information published by Office for Health Improvement and Disparities shows that deprivation within the practice population group is 7 deciles out of 10. The lower the decile, the more deprived the practice population is relative to others. This assessment considered the demographics of the people using the service, the context the service was working within and how this impacted service delivery. Where relevant, further commentary is provided in the quality statements section of this report.
The practice is a postgraduate training practice for the West Midlands deanery for GP registrars who are fully qualified doctors undergoing further training to become a GP. It is also an undergraduate teaching practice with medical students from Keele university medical school. The practice also provides training for other health professionals, including clinical pharmacists and practice nurses. The practice is an armed forces veteran friendly accredited practic
People's experience of this service
People were positive about the quality of their care and treatment. Recent survey results, including from the National GP Patient Survey and the NHS Friends and Family Test, showed people were satisfied with services. There was an active Patient Participation Group (PPG) who represented the views of people using the service. Representatives from PPG reported the practice was highly valued in their community. They reported on a positive relationship built upon mutual respect. The leadership team attended and supported the PPG in their role at their regular meetings. The PPG were proactive in providing feedback and gave examples on the responsiveness of the leadership team to this feedback.
