Our view of the service
We inspected this service using our comprehensive inspection methodology. We undertook an announced inspection on 13 October 2025. To get to the heart of patients’ experiences of care and treatment, we ask the same 5 questions of all services: are they safe, effective, caring, responsive to people's needs, and well-led? Where we have a legal duty to do so we rate services’ performance against each key question as outstanding, good, requires improvement or inadequate.
The service opened in March 2025. It is a private service in Stoke on Trent. The service primarily serves the communities of Stoke on Trent. It also accepts patients from outside this area. All ultrasound scans performed at Tiny Toes Scan Studio are in addition to those provided through the NHS.
The service has had a registered manager in post since it opened. This was their first inspection.
During the assessment we found there were processes to record incidents and we heard of learning as a result. Staff were bare below the elbow, and all areas appeared to be clean. Staff assessed and managed risks to service users and themselves well. Staff understood how to protect service users from abuse and the service worked well with other agencies to do so. The service used systems and processes safely.
This meant people were safe and protected from avoidable harm.
