Kindness, compassion and dignity

Regulations met

Staff treated patients with kindness, respect and compassion. We observed positive interactions between staff and patients both in person and on the telephone. Staff displayed an understanding of patients’ needs and showed warmth and compassion to patients.

We spoke with 1 patient. They told us they would not entrust their teeth with anyone else and that they had attended for many years, and that the hygienist was excellent.

Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice.

Patient comments included that staff were welcoming and attentive, acted with integrity, and showed compassion. “I’ve had multiple hygienist appointments with different members of the team, and every one of them has shown the same exceptional level of care, professionalism, and attention to detail, which really speaks to the high standards of the practice as a whole.”

Patients said staff were professional, courteous, and considerate. “I have recommended the practice to several friends, who now also attend regularly, which reflects the confidence I have in the team. The reception staff are also excellent - professional, polite, and efficient. Booking appointments, making payments, and receiving reminders is always seamless. Overall, I couldn't be happier with the service provided...”

Patients felt they were treated as individuals, and their personal and cultural needs were respected. “I know I am paying for this service but I have never felt forced to have anything. I gave been given choices.”

People received care from staff who were aware of their responsibility to respect people’s diversity and human rights, and of the importance of privacy and confidentiality.

Staff felt respected, valued and supported in their roles, and their wellbeing was supported. “I feel respected by both colleagues and management. My work is appreciated and I receive support whenever I need help or advice, which creates a positive working environment.”
