People's experience of this service
As part of our inspection, an expert by experience joined our inspection team onsite and helped us gather some of the evidence which we used to make judgements about the quality of care. An expert by experience is a person who has personal experience of using, or caring for someone who uses, this type of care service. They spoke with 10 people using the service and 4 relatives of people using the service about their experience of the care provided.

People, wherever possible, were involved in their care and were encouraged to be as independent as possible. People had access to external healthcare professionals to ensure they received effective care which promoted their health and wellbeing. People were encouraged to join in with activities and events to promote wellbeing. One person said, “You’re never lonely here and that’s important.” There were no restrictions on visitors visiting their loved ones in the home.
