Equity in access

Score: 2

In our assessment in February 2025, this quality statement was scored as 1. In June 2025, we found the service did not always make sure that people could access the care, support and treatment they needed when they needed it. During the unannounced site visit, patients who came when there was no clinician on site were informed by the reception staff to wait until the GPs arrived for their sessions or call back when there was a clinician available. The results of the 2025 National GP Patient survey showed that access remained an issue. The GP Patient Survey 2025 results showed that access at this practice needed to improve as it was still below national and local averages in the areas we highlighted in the report of our assessment carried out in February 2025. However, there was a slight improvement in patient experience when contacting the practice on the phone and speaking to their preferred healthcare professional.
