We looked for evidence that the service involved people and treated them with compassion, kindness, dignity and respect. At our last assessment in June 2023, we rated this key question as good. At this assessment, the rating remains the same.

Kindness, compassion and dignity

Score: 3

The service always treated people with kindness, empathy and compassion and respected their privacy and dignity. The National GP Patient Survey 2025 results showed that people felt listened to and treated with kindness. Staff understood the patents’ needs and ensured they were met with compassion.

Treating people as individuals

Score: 3

The service treated people as individuals and made sure people’s care, support and treatment met people’s needs and preferences. They took account of people’s culture and unique backgrounds including protected characteristics. Staff training records showed training to support autistic people and people living with learning disability.

Independence, choice and control

Score: 3

The service promoted people’s independence, so people knew their rights and had choice and control over their own care, treatment and wellbeing. Staff helped patients to access advocacy and community-based services.

Responding to people’s immediate needs

Score: 3

The service listened to and understood people’s needs, views and wishes. There was a system for appointment triage that enabled and ensured people accessed services. Staff we spoke to knew how to respond to any emergency and make any referrals to any additional services that may be required by people.

Workforce wellbeing and enablement

Score: 3

The service cared about and promoted the wellbeing of their staff and supported and enabled staff to always deliver person-centred care. Staff we spoke to told us they had support from the leaders. Leaders conducted staff surveys to gain knowledge about staff wellbeing.
