Caring

This service scored 75 (out of 100) for this area. Find out what we look at when we assess this area and How we calculate these scores.
Kindness, compassion and dignity
The service always treated people with kindness, empathy and compassion and respected their privacy and dignity. Staff treated colleagues from other organisations with kindness and respect.
The service had arrangements to promote people’s privacy. The service performed in line with the national average in the results of the 2025 National GP Patient Survey. This showed people felt listened to and felt they were treated with kindness. For example, 85% of respondents to the survey felt the healthcare professional at their last appointment was good at treating them with care and concern, compared to a national average of 86%. Likewise, 91% of people had confidence and trust in the healthcare professional they saw or spoke with, and 91% of people felt the healthcare professional was very good or fairly good at listening to them during their last appointment, which was in line with the national average. This was mirrored in the feedback from NHS Friends and Family data we reviewed, which was overwhelmingly positive across the last 12 months. Feedback provided by a care home the practice supported showed a positive and responsive relationship, including regular weekly visits and timely support such as virtual consultations. Practice also contributed to multidisciplinaryteammeeting (MDT), conducted medication reviews, and managed frailty and Do Not Attempt Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (DNACPR) decisions effectively and sensitively.
