Kindness, compassion and dignity
Staff treated patients with kindness, respect and compassion. We observed positive interactions between staff and patients both in person and on the telephone. Staff displayed an understanding of patients’ needs and showed warmth and compassion to patients.
Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice.
Patient comments included that staff were welcoming and attentive, acted with integrity, and showed compassion.
Patients said staff were professional, courteous, and considerate.
Patients felt they were treated as individuals, and their personal and cultural needs were respected.
We were provided with patient survey results for May 2026. The practice had developed its own patient survey that they patients received once they had an appointment.
The survey covered cleanliness of the practice, treatment by and confidence in staff, dignity, care and confidentiality, availability of appointments, and patient opinion. Most measures showed 75% of patients "totally agreed" with the statements.
The practice also did a "You said, we did" section in the patient information booklet held in the practice. This included comments and feedback from patients, such as using stronger coffee in the waiting room, which the practice implemented.
People received care from staff who were aware of their responsibility to respect people’s diversity and human rights, and of the importance of privacy and confidentiality.
Staff felt respected, valued and supported in their roles, and their wellbeing was supported.
