We found this practice was providing well-led care in accordance with the relevant regulations and had taken into consideration appropriate guidance.

At the inspection on 13 August 2025 we found the practice had made the following improvements to comply with the regulation:

There were effective systems in place to ensure medical emergency equipment and medicines were available and had not exceeded their expiry date.

A Legionella risk assessment had been carried out by an external company. Systems were in place for monitoring and cleaning of taps to ensure there was no build up of lime scale.

There were improvements of the oversight of radiation protection. A contract for the Radiation Protection Advisor (RPA) was in place and the local rules had been updated. Radiography audits were carried out in line with guidance.

Servicing of the autoclaves had been carried out and new air conditioning units had recently been installed.

Staff recruitment processes were in accordance with Schedule 3 of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014.

The system to monitor and track the training of staff was effective and evidence of staff training was available to view.

Risk assessments were carried out for staff who were not covered by the Hep B vaccination.

Staff inductions covered all the areas within the practice to inform new staff about practice policies and to provide suitable training when they started work so they could carry out their roles effectively.

The practice had also made further improvements:

A retractable barrier had been installed to the entrance of the decontamination area to prevent unauthorised persons entering. Hazardous substances were removed from the decontamination area.
