Our view of the service
Date of Assessment: 16 July to 21 July 2026. Acacia Homecare Ltd is a domiciliary care agency that provides personal care to people living in their own homes. At the time of this inspection 68 people were receiving support with personal care. We undertook this inspection because of the length of time since the last inspection took place.
We assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed autistic people and people with a learning disability respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted.
At the time of the assessment, the service was not supporting any autistic people or people with a learning disability, but the provider had regard to ‘Right support, right care, right culture’.
People received safe care and support from staff who were well trained and qualified to meet their needs. People’s care needs were met in an effective way. There was oversight in place to monitor missed, late and cancelled calls. People were treated with kindness and compassion.
Appropriate recruitment checks were in place to help ensure staff employed were suitable to care for people safely. The provider supported staff wellbeing and staff felt supported to give feedback. Staff were treated equally, free from bullying or harassment. Staff understood their roles and responsibilities.
There were robust governance systems in place to monitor the quality of the service and identify areas for improvement.
Leaders were visible and supportive, helping staff develop in their roles. This provider is required to have a registered manager to oversee the delivery of regulated activities at this location. At the time of our inspection a manager was in post and registered with the Care Quality Commission.
