We found this practice was not providing well-led care in accordance with the relevant regulations.

The provider had made insufficient improvements to put right the shortfalls and had not adequately responded to the regulatory breach we found at our inspection on 13 October 2025. We have told the provider to take action. We will be following up on our concerns to ensure the provider has made the required improvements.

At the inspection on 13 May 2026, we found the following:

Some improvements had been made to fire safety, and we saw that most actions identified in the 2016 fire risk assessment had now been completed. A new fire risk assessment had been completed in April 2026 which had identified some high, medium and low risk actions. The practice should ensure that all actions are completed in a timely manner.

Testing of the fire alarm system was now being completed by staff, yet this was not carried out consistently. The practice should ensure that testing is completed in line with guidance and regulations.

Emergency lighting had been installed, yet this was not being tested by the practice. The practice should ensure that testing of the emergency lighting system is completed in line with guidance and regulations.

An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) had been completed to ensure the electrical system and wiring in the building was safe.

We saw that both dental compressors had been serviced.

Whilst complaints information was displayed in the reception area, improvements could be made to this information and to the management of complaints.

The practice had improved their system for the dispensing of medicines.

The practice had some oversight to ensure that staff training, including continuing professional development (CPD), was up-to-date and reviewed at the required intervals. Improvements were still required to ensure the practice had complete oversight to ensure training and development was completed in a timely manner.

The practice procedures in place still did not reflect relevant legislation for the recruitment of staff. The practice did not have oversight of identification checks, proof of right to work in the UK, evidence of immunity to hepatitis B, disclosure and barring service checks, evidence of qualifications, evidence of indemnity insurance, and evidence of conduct in previous employment for all staff.
