Staff had carried out a disability access audit. However, it had no action plan to continually improve access for patients.

Staff described the reasonable adjustments they had made to ensure the practice was accessible.

There was step-free access to the practice, 2 ground floor treatment rooms (only 1 of which was in active use) and a wheelchair accessible toilet for patients with limited mobility.

The practice could provide information in alternative formats and larger print if required and provided digital tablets with text enlarging capability.

The practice did not have access to language translation services, including British Sign Language.

The practice displayed its opening hours and provided information on their reception desk and in their waiting room.

The frequency of appointments was agreed between the dentist and the patient, giving due regard to National Institute for Health and Care Excellence guidelines.

The practice provided telephone numbers for patients needing emergency dental treatment during the working day and when the practice was not open.
