Kindness, compassion and dignity
Staff treated patients with kindness, respect and compassion. We observed positive interactions between staff and patients both in person and on the telephone. Staff displayed an understanding of patients’ needs and showed warmth and compassion to patients.
People received care from staff who were aware of their responsibility to respect people’s diversity and human rights, and the importance of privacy and confidentiality. However, visibility into the ground floor treatment room was possible through internal windows, presenting a potential risk to patient privacy. Following the inspection, the provider took prompt action and installed privacy film on the door to the treatment room, reducing the risk of patients being seen while receiving care and treatment.
Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice.
Patient comments included that staff were welcoming and attentive, acted with integrity, and showed compassion.
Patients said staff were professional, courteous, and considerate.
Patients felt they were treated as individuals, and their personal and cultural needs were respected.
Staff felt respected, valued and supported in their roles, and their wellbeing was supported.
