We found this practice was providing well-led care in accordance with the relevant regulations and had taken into consideration appropriate guidance.

At the inspection on 24 September 2025, we had highlighted where improvements should be made. During the inspection on 6 January 2026, we found the practice had made the following improvements:

The practice had a governance system that included policies and procedures, which were accessible to staff and were reviewed on a regular basis. Improvements had been made to the oversight of all governance systems.

The practice had made improvements to systems for managing risks. In particular, the risks associated with fire and radiation.

The management of fire safety was effective. Fire exits were clear and well signposted.

The practice had implemented more robust systems in relation to the checks and documentation for emergency lighting, alarms and fire extinguishers. The practice also ensured a fire risk assessment had been conducted by a competent person and had developed an action plan to carry out any recommendations that were highlighted.

We saw evidence of a fire drill with actions and learning outcomes documented for staff.

The practices arrangement to ensure the safety of the X-ray equipment have been improved and we saw evidence of an up-to-date safety certification and all recommendations on the previous performance reports had been actioned.

All employers’ procedures in relation to radiation protection information had been reviewed, updated and was accessible to all staff.

On the day we saw evidence of a new process in place for checks in relation to the radiation equipment by the staff in practice and we were assured that this would continue going forward.

The practice had also made further improvements to the systems for checking the emergency medicines and equipment. On the day we found that a new process and logs had been implemented and staff were able describe the process in depth including how they would action any expired or damaged equipment.

The practice had systems and processes for learning, quality assurance and continuous improvement. This included undertaking audits according to recognised guidance.
