Kindness, compassion and dignity

Regulations met

Staff treated patients with kindness, respect and compassion. We observed positive interactions between staff and patients both in person and on the telephone. Staff displayed an understanding of patients’ needs and showed warmth and compassion to patients.

Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice. One patient told us, “[The partner dentist] has a lovely manner, taking care to explain everything in a caring and informative way. The procedure is always carried out in a professional way. Feeling confident in your treatment is very reassuring and I certainly feel that.”

Patient comments included that staff were welcoming and attentive, acted with integrity, and showed compassion.

Patients said staff were professional, courteous, and considerate.

Patients felt they were treated as individuals, and their personal and cultural needs were respected.

We were provided with a patient survey. Between April 2025 and Mach 2026, 100% of respondents stated that their dentist involved them in decisions about their care, and 100% had confidence and trust in their dentist.

People received care from staff who were aware of their responsibility to respect people’s diversity and human rights, and of the importance of privacy and confidentiality.

Staff felt respected, valued and supported in their roles, and their wellbeing was supported.
