Well-led
We found this practice was providing well-led care in accordance with the relevant regulations and had taken into consideration appropriate guidance.

Governance, management and sustainability
Staff could access emergency equipment and medicines that were checked in line with national guidance.
Fridge temperatures were monitored. Staff were aware of why they were recording these and what to do if the temperatures were out of range. The practice had identified that where temperatures were not in line with manufacturers guidance, systems were in place to ensure that medicines were safely stored in line with guidance.
The practice had arrangements to ensure the safety of the X-ray equipment and the required radiation protection information was available. Annual electromechanical servicing was in place. Local rules were available in treatment rooms.
Procedures for managing fire safety were in place, and fire exits were clear and well signposted.
Periodic in-house checks of smoke alarms, emergency lighting and fire drills had been undertaken and the outcomes reviewed with staff.
The practice had procedures to reduce the risk of Legionella, or other bacteria, developing in water systems, in line with a risk assessment and current guidance. The practice had identified where the cold-water outlets were not within the recommended guidance and had put systems in place to mitigate any risk.

The practice had ensured evidence of training for radiography or dental implants for the clinicians was available.
Infection prevention and control audits and radiation audits were carried out 6 monthly in line with current guidance.
