Kindness, compassion and dignity

Regulations met

Staff treated patients with kindness, respect and compassion. We observed positive interactions between staff and patients both in person and on the telephone. Staff displayed an understanding of patients’ needs and showed warmth and compassion to patients.

Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice. Comments included, “I am just writing to say what a pleasure it is to use this dental practice. Every one of the staff is professional, polite and very welcoming every time I go there, and the service and skill I receive from my dentist is first class.”

Patient comments included that staff were welcoming and attentive, acted with integrity, and showed compassion. Comments included, “Very satisfied with service and care. Treatment of a very high standard. Without exception, all the staff are excellent, welcoming and friendly.”

Patients said staff were professional, courteous, and considerate. Comments included, “A friendly, professional, punctual and knowledgeable dental practice. Always feel like they listen to any concerns and go above and beyond to explain treatment options. On the ball with preventative dental care, as well urgent situations. A proactive team, who put me and my family at ease during check-ups - even when nerves are sometimes high during appointments.”

Patients felt they were treated as individuals, and their personal and cultural needs were respected.

People received care from staff who were aware of their responsibility to respect people’s diversity and human rights, and of the importance of privacy and confidentiality.

Most staff felt respected, valued and supported in their roles, and their wellbeing was supported.
