Governance, management and sustainability
Staff and leaders described the systems in place to manage risks for patients, staff, equipment and the premises.
At the inspection on 24 July 2026, we found the practice had made the following improvements to comply with the regulation.
The practice had a governance system that included policies and procedures, which were accessible to staff and were reviewed on a regular basis.
At the inspection on 24 July 2026, we found that improvements had been made to the practice’s systems and processes. These were now effective in identifying, monitoring and managing risks, issues and performance. Oversight of the practice had improved, with governance systems and processes embedded in the day-to-day running of the practice.
The issues and omissions identified during the inspection of 2 April 2026 had been satisfactorily addressed. For example, evidence provided by the provider demonstrated that the X-ray equipment had received servicing and was in good working condition. Service records showed that risks relating to legionella, fire, fixed electrical wiring and gas safety had been appropriately managed. Processes were now in place to ensure the safe management of referrals, dispensing and prescribing.
We saw evidence that the provider had completed a disability access audit to ensure the practice was accessibility to service users.
The provider told us that all new employees are recruited in accordance with Schedule 3 of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014, which sets out the information and pre-employment checks providers must obtain to ensure staff are suitable for their roles. All staff were fully vetted before commencing employment.
Improvements had been made to ensure hazardous substances were all risk assessed and that safety data sheets were retained. The provider had also ensured that hazardous substances were now stored safely in accordance with the (COSHH) Regulations 2022.
