People's experience of this service
Prior to our visit, we asked the practice to encourage patients to share their views of the service with us. We received feedback from 11 patients. Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice.
Comments included,
“…All the staff are polite and professional, and it feels comfortable to ask any questions…”
“…Overall, an excellent dental practice. I would recommend it to anyone.”
“This is our family dentist and wouldn’t leave for anywhere else. One of my adult children still attends. I am always treated with care and respect and feel the staff will go above and beyond to help accommodate your needs, especially in an emergency…”
Patients commented positively about the standards of cleanliness.
Patients felt able to book appointments within an acceptable timescale for their needs and said they had enough time during their appointment without feeling rushed. “…My appointments are on time, and the surgery is able to easily change my date/time if needed. Communication is excellent and I receive text reminders and a phone call for any short notice cancellations…”
Patients told us they were given clear information to help them make an informed choice about their treatment and any associated costs. They were involved in decisions about their care. “…Recently I had to attend in between check-ups for an issue… A plan was agreed and confirmed, however was please when I returned for the treatment that deep consideration was taken by the dentist and we discussed another less invasive option. That option worked and was also less expensive! This shows me that it is a practice that cares and not just in it for the money.”
Patients said when they were prescribed medicines, sufficient information was given.
Patients told us that they were supported to maintain their oral health and were provided with appropriate information and resources.
The practice shared patient feedback with the team. We were told this was reviewed and where suggestions had been made, appropriate action would be taken.
