At the inspection on 15 December 2025,we found the practice had made the following improvements to comply with the regulation:

Improvements had been made to the monitoring and management of risks associated with fire safety and sharps. For example, regular checks of the emergency lighting and fire alarms, and the practice had begun using safer sharps.

The provider had now implemented systems to ensure the autoclave, fire alarm and emergency lighting were tested and serviced regularly and in a timely manner.

The provider had introduced regular checks on the medical emergencies kit, in line with national guidance issued by the Resuscitation Council UK, which requires dental practices to follow its standards on emergency equipment and medicines.

Improvements had been made to the infection control procedures, including daily checks for the ultrasonic and using appropriate solution to disinfect dental impressions.

There were systems in place to monitor training to ensure staff had received training appropriate to their role, including fire awareness and medical emergencies training.

The practice had introduced systems to oversee and monitor the recruitment process and ensure all required checks were completed and recorded consistently.

There had been improvements in the registered individuals oversight and scrutiny of the service, including strengthened responsibility for the audit process. For example, infection control audits were now completed every six months in line with national guidance. The most recent audit had been carried out at the end of July 2025 and the next was scheduled to take place in January 2026.
