Staff treated patients with kindness, respect and compassion. We observed positive interactions between staff and patients both in person and on the telephone. Staff displayed an understanding of patients’ needs and showed warmth and compassion to patients.

Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice. “York dental practice is great, lovely atmosphere staff all kind and helpful…”

Patient comments included that staff were welcoming and attentive, acted with integrity, and showed compassion.

Patients said staff were professional, courteous, and considerate.

Patients felt they were treated as individuals, and their personal and cultural needs were respected.

We were provided with a patient survey. The practice had developed its own patient survey consisting of 10 questions. Patients were asked to rate each question on a scale of 1 to 5, 1 being poor and 5 being excellent. For the month of October 2025, 4 patients completed the survey and rated the practice as 5 for each of the 10 questions.

People received care from staff who were aware of their responsibility to respect people’s diversity and human rights, and of the importance of privacy and confidentiality.

Staff felt respected, valued and supported in their roles, and their wellbeing was supported.
