Our view of the service
The dates of assessment were 10 June 2026 and 2 July 2026, and this was the first inspection since registering to provide a regulated activity. The service was a clinic in Headcorn, Kent. CES Medical Headcorn provided ophthalmology services for adults, including general eye clinics, specialist glaucoma clinics, and cataract surgery.
The assessment found the service delivered high‑quality care supported by strong leadership and robust governance arrangements, with effective oversight of clinical and operational activity. Staff were skilled, supported and engaged, and leaders demonstrated clear oversight, strong risk management and a sustained commitment to continuous improvement.
People's experience of this service
We spoke with 10 patients in the service and reviewed friends and family test feedback. Patients felt staff treated them with warmth and kindness and provided effective care and treatment. Patients with protected characteristics felt supported. Patients told us staff gave them time to ask questions about their procedure and checked they understood what they were having done.
