Our view of the service

We carried out the assessment on 27 January and 06 February 2026 as Feeding Untied Limited had not been assessed under its new location. This was a short notice announced assessment to ensure we had the opportunity to observe care and treatment being carried out.

As part of the assessment process, we carried out a visit to the clinic where the tongue-tie assessments and frenulotomy procedures were provided. During the visit, we spoke with individuals who had used the service. We observed 1 tongue-tie assessment and frenulotomy procedure taking place and reviewed 5 patient records. In addition, we spoke with 7 caregivers whose infants had undergone an assessment and received a frenulotomy procedure within the 12 months leading up to our visit. Throughout this report, the term caregivers is used to describe individuals with parental responsibility for the infant.

We rated the care at the service as outstanding and the service as good overall.

People's experience of this service

We spoke with 7 people who had used the service and their feedback was overwhelmingly positive. People said the information held on the website was clear and concise and booking an appointment was easy. Caregivers who used the service said that the information provided in advance of the appointment was helpful and prepared the family for the appointment. People described the clinic as warm and welcoming, created to ensure caregivers felt fully supported and at ease. The registered manager was described as caring, compassionate and knowledgeable, who made sure the family understood the procedure and addressed any concerns they had. The aftercare support provided by the service was also noted as ‘exceptional’, with follow-up emails and text messages sent to reduce their anxieties following the appointment.

All 7 people we spoke with said they would highly recommend the service to others in a similar situation. In addition, the majority of feedback received through surveys and CQC feedback confirmed that people would recommend the service to other caregivers.
