This assessment was planned in response to information received about long delays in conveying patients, concerns about staff training and concerns about patient safety.

G4S Patient Transport Services Lordswood operates a non-emergency patient transport service for NHS patients in the Kent and Medway area. The service is registered with CQC to provide the regulated activity of patient transport services. The service is available 7 days a week 365 days of the year and conveyed on average 360,000 patients annually. The service provides safe and reliable transport to and from medical appointments for children and adults who cannot use public transport or drive due to physical or medical conditions.
