Governance, management and sustainability
At the inspection on 22 July 2026, we found the practice had made the following improvements to comply with the regulation:
The practice managed fire safety well. We saw that in addition to fire doors being replaced and repaired, a new fire risk assessment had been completed, from which no actions arose. Multiple staff members had been trained to complete routine checks of the fire alarms. We also saw that fire drills were being carried out and these were suitably recorded and discussed.
The air conditioning units had been serviced.
Staff could access emergency equipment and medicines that were checked in line with national guidance. We saw that effective weekly checks were being completed by a staff member.
The practice had infection control procedures that reflected published guidance. Staff we spoke with were aware of the requirements.
Safety data sheets and risk assessments were present for hazardous materials used in the practice. These were available in both paper and electronic formats.
Complaints were responded to appropriately, and a complaints tracker had been implemented to ensure all complaints were tracked and monitored.
The practice had improved the recruitment process which now reflected relevant legislation to help them employ suitable staff.
