Our view of the service
We carried out this announced on-site inspection on 5 August 2025.
We found the practice had not met all regulations.
The practice’s systems to identify and manage risks, including infection prevention and control, radiography and medical emergencies were not effective.
Recruitment procedures did not reflect current legislation.
Leadership was not always effective and governance systems were lacking.
Systems to support a culture of continuous improvement and development were not established at the service.
Staff provided care and treatment in line with current guidance. They treated patients with dignity and respect and ensured access to care, support, and treatment when required.
The practice is in Birmingham and provides private dental care and treatment for adults and children.
There was step-free access to the practice and car parking spaces available, including dedicated parking for disabled people, near the practice.
The practice had 1 treatment room. At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 4 staff, of which there was 1 dentist, 1 dental nurse, 1 trainee dental nurse and the practice manager. We spoke with the dentist, the trainee dental nurse and the practice manager during the inspection.
The provider was not complying with two of the regulations. Full details of the regulations the provider was not meeting are within the inspection report.
In instances where CQC has begun a process of regulatory action, we may publish this information on our website after any representations and/or appeals have been concluded, if the action has been taken forward.
People's experience of this service
Two weeks before our inspection, we asked the practice to encourage patients to share their views of the service with us. We did not receive any feedback.
