Governance, management and sustainability

Regulations met

At the inspection on 14 July 2026 we found the practice had made the following improvements to comply with the regulation.

We saw satisfactory evidence of regular in-house checks on fire detection and fighting equipment. Staff were familiar with the emergency evacuation procedures and had completed training in fire safety.

Since the previous inspection on 29 April 2025 a new fire risk assessment had been completed in May 2026. This had recommended the immediate installation of fire doors. This had not been acted on. We were later sent evidence fire doors were due to be installed.

In addition, although a smoke detector had been installed in the basement there was still excessive amounts of combustible products stored and unnecessary use of extension cables. We were later sent photographic evidence showing that all the combustible products and extension cables had been removed from the basement.

We were assured that the management of the risks associated with fire are now well managed.
