Governance, management and sustainability
At the inspection on 18 March 2026, we found the practice had made the following improvements to comply with the regulation:
A fire risk assessment had been carried out, and we saw that all actions had been or were in the process of being completed. Improvements could be made to ensure these actions, which were given a priority level, were completed according to the level of risk.
An Electrical Installation Condition Report had been completed.
The practice had arrangements in place to ensure the safety of the X-ray equipment and the required radiation protection information was available.
We saw that staff could access emergency equipment and medicines that were checked in line with national guidance.
All necessary staff had evidence of immunity to Hepatitis B; however, improvements were still required as a risk assessment had not been completed for a staff member who had a low response to the vaccine. The practice told us this would be completed.
The practice had a process in place to ensure staff training, including continuing professional development (CPD), was up-to-date and reviewed at the required intervals. However, we saw that the practice did not have evidence of mandatory training for all staff and hence improvements were still required. The practice told us certificates of training which had already been completed would be obtained.
