Our view of the service
We undertook a follow-up on-site inspection on 30 April 2025. This was carried out to review the actions taken by the registered provider to improve the quality of care and to assess whether the practice was meeting legal requirements.
We had previously undertaken an unannounced on-site inspection of Globe Dental Practice on 18 February 2025. We had found the registered provider was not providing well-led care and was in breach of Regulation 17 good governance of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014.
During our follow-up inspection, we found the practice had met regulations.
Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation, and recent recruitment was in line with these procedures.
Improvement has been made to the induction process for new recruits and leaders had oversight of provision of staff mandatory training.
The practice had implemented systems to ensure complaints were dealt with efficiently and made improvements to the systems to review and investigate incidents and accidents. The practice had not had any complaints, incidents or accidents since the last inspection, so we were unable to check if these were embedded.
The practice had made improvements to the systems to manage risks. In particular, the risks associated with fire, radiation, health and safety, lone working and sharps safety.
Clinical notes were in line with recognised guidance.
Globe Dental Practice is in Nantwich and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children.
There was step-free access to the practice and car parking spaces available near the practice.
The practice had 3 treatment rooms. At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 8 staff, of which there were 3 dentists, 2 dental nurses, 1 trainee dental nurse, 1 receptionist, and 1 reception manager. We gathered feedback from staff and spoke to a range of staff during our inspection, including 2 dentists, 1 dental nurse and the reception manager.
