Our view of the service

Date of Assessment: 03 August to 20 August 2026. Smart Home Visits Ltd is a domiciliary care agency providing personal care to people living in their own homes. CQC only inspects where people are receiving the regulated activity personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. At the time of this inspection 9 people were receiving support with personal care. The reason for the assessment was to provide the service with their first rating. We looked at all quality statements within, safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led key questions. We have rated the service as ‘good.’

At the time of the assessment, the service was not providing support to people with a learning disability or autistic people. However, we assessed the service against the principles of right support, right care, right culture and found that the service’s policies, practices and approach were consistent with the guidance.

People were safeguarded from the risks of abuse. Risks associated with people's care and support were managed effectively to ensure people were safe.

People were supported by staff who knew them well and understood their needs and preferences. Care plans were person centred and included people's life histories, personal preferences and outcomes. Care plans were reviewed with people and referrals to healthcare professionals were carried out in a timely manner.

Staff were recruited safely and received a thorough induction when they commenced their employment. Staff had access to ongoing training and were supported to progress within the service. People received their medicines as prescribed by staff who were competent and trained to do so.

Governance systems were effective. The service was committed to continuous learning and innovation. They actively sought feedback from staff, people using the service and families, using this to shape improvements.
