Our view of the service

Bewdley Medical Centre is a GP practice located in Worcestershire. The surgery is part of Wyre Forest Health Partnership which is a partnership of 5 GP practices: Bewdley Medical Centre, Church Street Surgery, Hagley Surgery, Kidderminster Medical Centre, and Stourport Medical Centre. Bewdley Medical Centre delivers services to around 15,197 patients under a contract held with NHS England. The provider is registered with CQC to deliver the following Regulated Activities: Diagnostic and screening procedures; Family planning; Maternity and midwifery services; Treatment of disease, disorder or injury; and Surgical procedures.

The National General Practice Profiles states that the ethnic make-up of the practice area is 97.61% White, 0.70% Asian, 0.20% Black, 0.90% Mixed Ethnicities, and 0.59% Other Ethnicities. Information published by Office for Health Improvement and Disparities shows that deprivation within the practice population group is in the 6th decile (6 out of 10). The lower the decile, the more deprived the practice population is relative to others. This assessment considered the demographics of the people using the service, the context the service was working within and how this impacted service delivery. Where relevant, further commentary is provided in the quality statements section of this report.

The practice was previously inspected in 2024. We carried out a comprehensive inspection on 18 and 27 February 2026 and rated the practice Good in all domains and Good overall.
