Our view of the service

Date of Assessment: 21 and 23 April. Kingsmead Healthcare is a GP practice and delivers services to 5,176 under a contract held with NHS England. The National General Practice Profiles states that the practice ethnicity estimate is 7% Mixed, 11% Asian, 36% Black, 40% White and 8% Other Non-White ethnic groups. Information published by Office for Health Improvement and Disparities shows that deprivation within the practice population group is in the second most deprived decile (2 of 10). The lower the decile, the more deprived the practice population is relative to others. This assessment considered the demographics of the people using the service, the context the service was working within and how this impacted service delivery. Where relevant, further commentary is provided in the quality statements section of this report.

We assessed 33 quality statements across the five key questions: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well-led. The assessment included a remote clinical assessment on 21 April and a site visit on 23 April.

This was the first assessment carried out at this service since their registration on 20 September 2023. The service has been rated good overall and in each key question.
