Our view of the service

This assessment took place between 13 July to 30th July 2026. The assessment was carried out remotely.

Consider Care Limited is registered to deliver homecare and provides the regulated activity of personal care to people living in their own homes. CQC only inspects the service being received by people provided with 'personal care’; such as help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided. At the time of our inspection there were 2 people using the service who were receiving personal care.

This service had not been inspected since their registration; therefore, we assessed all quality statements across the safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led key questions.

The provider had not ensured people’s care records were detailed and completed to guide staff on how to support people based on their personalised needs, wishes and risks. Records relating to staff recruitment, support and development practices had not always been kept in detail. This meant the provider could not demonstrate that staff had been suitably recruited and assessed to carry out their role.

Our assessment confirmed that people's care and support needs were consistently met despite the shortfalls in people’s care records. Staff understood what mattered to people and how they prefer their care to be delivered.

Staff said they felt trained and supported to carry out their role and could approach the registered manager with any personal or work-related concerns. Staff felt they were treated equally and reasonable adjustments would be made to their work schedule if needed.

The registered manager demonstrated a strong understanding of both the staff and the people using the service. The current governance arrangements ensured effective monitoring and prompt action was taken when concerns were raised. The provider recognised that their governance systems must be strengthened and expanded to support future growth within the service.

We will continue to check the provider's record-keeping systems as part of our continuous monitoring of this service.

People's experience of this service

We received positive feedback from people’s relatives who told us they were happy with the care and support provided by the service to their family member. They told us staff were very caring and took the time to get to know people and promoted their well-being, independence and individuality. One relative said, “The service has been very good.”

People were supported by a consistent staff team which promoted continuity of care. The registered manager ensured people and their relatives were involved in decisions about people’s care and any changing needs. One relative explained the registered manager had been extremely responsive to their questions about the service and would be responsive and flexible if they required changes in people’s care calls.
