Staff treated patients with kindness, respect and compassion. We observed positive interactions between staff and patients both in person and on the telephone. Staff displayed an understanding of patients’ needs and showed warmth and compassion to patients.

Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice.

Patient comments included that staff were welcoming and attentive, acted with integrity, and showed compassion.

We were told, “Lovely comfortable environment with patient attentive staff.”

We were also told, “I am very anxious about the dentist and choose not to go if I can. I haven't been to a dentist for a couple of years and had my first visit 2 weeks ago. I spoke to the practice manager who put me at ease with a thorough explanation about the dental practice and the dentists themselves. When I arrived the first thing I noticed was there is no dentist smell or noise which was so good as this enhances the anxiety. Very calm waiting room and offered a drink which is very welcome.”

Patients said staff were professional, courteous, and considerate.

Patients felt they were treated as individuals, and their personal and cultural needs were respected.

People received care from staff who were aware of their responsibility to respect people’s diversity and human rights, and of the importance of privacy and confidentiality.

Staff felt respected, valued and supported in their roles, and their wellbeing was supported.
