Kindness, compassion and dignity
The provider always treated people with kindness, empathy and compassion and respected their privacy and dignity. A staff member commented, “I feel my residents are my family. I love, respect, show compassion, and treat everyone with dignity (providing) person-centred care just how I'd expect my own family to be cared for.”
People and relatives told us staff treat people with respect and supported them in a dignified manner. A person told us, “Staff are polite and helpful, they are always there to help. (They are kind) and they will do anything I ask.” A relative said, “I would definitely recommend it (the home) for the staff and the way they treat the residents and families too.”
Staff treated colleagues from other organisations with kindness and respect. A health professional told us, “I have been into The White House Care Home a few times over recent months. Staff are professional when we visit and give their time to discuss the residents.” They also informed that staff followed their guidance and engaged in training they delivered.
