Our view of the service

We assessed Birchwood @ Kaleidoscope House on the 12 and 13 November 2025. This is the first inspection of this service since it was registered with CQC in May 2023.

Birchwood @ Kaleidoscope House is registered to deliver the regulated activities: accommodation for persons who require treatment for substance misuse; and treatment of disease, disorder or injury. The service had a Registered Manager.

The service was previously called Birchwood Residential Treatment Centre – Birkenhead and was registered at a different address. Birchwood Residential Treatment Centre – Birkenhead was inspected in October 2021 and was rated as good.

At this assessment we assessed 1 assessment service group: residential substance misuse services.

We rated the service as good.
