Our view of the service

Date of Assessment: 24 April to 8 May 2026. This assessment was carried out due to the age of the current rating. The domiciliary care service provides support to people in their own homes who are living with sensory Impairments, physical disabilities, dementia, mental health, older people and those with learning disabilities or autistic spectrum disorder. Not everyone supported by this service received the regulated activity of personal care. This assessment looked at people’s personal care and support. At the time of our assessment there were 25 people in receipt of a regulated activity. We assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’. This guidance supported judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choice, independence and access to local communities that most people take for granted. The service was not supporting people with a learning disability or autism at the time of the inspection; however their systems and processes were in line with the relevant guidance. The service was exceptionally effective and person-centred. Individualised support was provided to people using skilled and caring staff to promote independence and maintain people’s health and wellbeing. Staff showed a strong understanding of people’s individual needs and preferences and could share examples of how the support they gave to people had positive impacts on people’s lives. People were supported to reflect on past relationships and meaningful life experiences and had developed good relationships and a positive rapport with their staff team. The provider’s systems were consistently successful in ensuring people had their individual needs and preferences met. People were supported to maintain their safety, with clear processes in place to ensure they had the right staff available to support with managing risks and medicines administration. Staff understood without exception how to minimise the risk of cross infection and manage other risks to people’s safety. Staff valued the relationships they had with people, relatives and the wider staff and management team. Everyone without exception described the relationships as being like family. Staff repeatedly went above and beyond to ensure people had a positive experience and everyone who was supported were treated with exceptional kindness and compassion. Staff connected the support they received with the values of the organisation and the positive outcomes people achieved, they expressed how the most important thing was enhancing people’s quality of life. Governance systems and processes were robust and gave assurances people received the support they needed. There was a strong emphasis on workforce equality, leadership and learning which meant the provider continued to provide outstanding care and support for the people using the service.
