Our view of the service
The Scan Clinic is operated by Sonology Medical Ltd.
The service provides general ultrasound scans, obstetric ultrasound scans, gynaecology ultrasound scans, well-being and health check ultrasound scans, and blood tests. They provided services to adults, pregnant women and young people aged 16-17 with appropriate consent. The service is regulated to provide diagnostic and screening procedures.
We carried out an assessment of the service on 8 September 2025. Overall, the service was rated as good.
We spoke to 3 members of staff including the registered manager, the general manager and an administrative staff. We spoke to 4 service users who were using the service at the time of our inspection. We reviewed 4 sets of service user records, a range of policies and observed care.
Facilities at the service included a waiting room, a scan room, phlebotomy room, office area and a kitchen. The service is located above a dental practice and had its own secure entrance. The service is open Monday to Saturday.

People's experience of this service
Service users and any family or carers with them were all positive about the staff treating them with warmth and kindness and providing effective care and treatment. They said they were approachable and supportive.
Records showed people were provided with individualised care and treatment. People felt staff were on hand if they needed them for help or support. People said they felt able to raise concerns.
