Our view of the service
This service has been registered to provide diagnostic and screening services since 2011. It provides MRI scans mainly for NHS patients from the host NHS trust, but it also provides MRI scans to NHS patients from other trusts and to private patients.
We inspected this service on 21 April 2026 and the inspection was unannounced, which means that staff did not know that we were coming. Two inspectors and a specialist advisor with expertise in MRI carried out the inspection. The reason for the inspection was an aged rating. The service was last inspected in June 2022 and was rated good.
People's experience of this service
Patients told us that the staff were friendly, kind and professional. Most of the patients we spoke with were satisfied with the time it had taken to receive an appointment. Where patients had to wait beyond their appointment time in the department, they told us that staff kept them informed about the wait. Patients told us that they felt well informed about their procedure.
