Our view of the service

Lime Tree Gardens

Date of Assessment: 11 March 2026. The service is a residential care home providing support to adults of all ages living with mental health conditions for 24 people, at the time of our inspection there were 22 people living in the home. This is the first assessment for this provider who registered with the CQC (Care Quality Commission) in March 2023.

During the assessment we spoke with people and their relatives, care staff and healthcare professionals to gather their feedback regarding how people’s personal care needs were being met.

The provider had a good learning culture and people could raise concerns. Managers investigated incidents thoroughly. People were protected and kept safe. Staff understood and managed risks.

People were treated with exceptional kindness and compassion. Staff protected people’s privacy and dignity. They treated people as individuals and supported their preferences. People had choice in their care and were encouraged and supported to maintain relationships with family and friends. Staff responded to people’s needs in a timely way. People knew how to give feedback and were confident their views were taken seriously and acted upon.

The facilities and equipment met people’s needs, were clean and well-maintained and any risks mitigated. There were enough staff with the right skills, qualifications and experience. Managers made sure staff received training and regular supervision. Staff managed medicines well and involved people in planning any changes.

Leaders were visible, knowledgeable and supportive, helping staff develop in their roles. Staff were treated equally, free from bullying or harassment. Governance systems including regular audits to review the quality of care were in place and there was a culture of continuous improvement.
