Our view of the service
Date of Assessment: 29 May 2026 to 12 June 2026. The service is a residential home providing support to adults of all ages living with learning disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. This assessment was carried out due to the age of the current rating. We assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’. This guidance supported judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choice, independence and access to local communities that most people take for granted. People received care which was tailored to their individual needs and preferences and designed to minimise risks and keep them safe. Staff understood safeguarding procedures and people received support which reduced the risk of cross infection. Medicines were administered safely and people were supported by enough suitably skilled staff. People’s needs were assessed and care plans were in place to support and guide staff. Health needs were understood and staff worked together to support people effectively. Staff treated people as individuals and promoted dignity, privacy and independence and they were responsive to individual needs. A complaints system was in place and there were learning opportunities identified when things went wrong. Governance systems ensured peoples care was delivered safely and risks to safety were managed. The provider worked with other agencies to ensure people received care that met their needs.
