Our view of the service

Date of Assessment: 15 to 19 June 2026.

Altogether Care – Care at home Limited Beaminster is a homecare agency registered to provide support to people living in their own homes. The service supports people living with dementia, people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and mental health conditions. Not everyone who used the service received personal care. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. This is to help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided. At the time of our assessment there were 105 people receiving a regulated service.

We assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed autistic people and people with a learning disability respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted.

The assessment was a fully comprehensive inspection, which looked at all key areas.

Leaders and staff shared a clear vision based on listening, learning and trust. Staff understood their roles, felt able to raise feedback, and were committed to continuous improvement. This positive culture supported effective learning from incidents and complaints, which were appropriately investigated and reported.

People were involved in assessing their needs and supported to make informed decisions about their care. Staff understood and managed risks well, worked effectively with health and social care professionals, and monitored people’s health and wellbeing. There were sufficient skilled and competent staff to ensure people received safe, high-quality care.

Overall, the service provided good quality care that supported people to live independently and maintain control over their lives.
