The service monitored all people’s care and treatment to enable continuous improvement and delivered effective evidence-based care and treatment. Staff communicated with patients with genuine kindness and compassion and protected patients’ dignity. The service worked to ensure that everyone could access the care, support and treatment they needed when they needed it. The service was well-led with leaders who were visible and approachable
The registered manager, who was the hospital director, had been in post for 6 months at the time of inspection. This was the first inspection of the service.
People's experience of this service
People felt they were receiving considerate support from competent staff. People we spoke to said staff were kind, and they were made to feel safe and secure. Patients saw the same staff and there were clear processes for patients to contact staff following discharge. Patient feedback collected by the provider showed a positive picture with patients stating they felt truly valued and included and staff went the extra mile to provide a consistently high standard of care, from initial assessment to post-operative review.
